Wong's Dojo

Welcome

Wong's Dojo is a traditional dojo. Here we train in Goju Ryu Meibukan Karate and Koburyu Kobudo.

We conduct both children and adult classes with our instructors being nationally accredited coaches.

Karate and Kobudo are two seperate but complimentary disciplines. One is empty hand, the other employs weapons. As such a Student is not required to train in karate to learn kobudo and likewise need not train in kobudo to learn karate.

Kancho Johanes Wong - Honbu Dojo

Wongs Dojo. Okinawa Goju Ryu Karate Meibukan and Kobukai Kobudo

In Okinawan Karatedo Meibukan Nanadan and Hachidan wear 2 stripes. This is not Nidan as in many Japanese schools.

4/9/2009 Honbu Dojo - Train Every night of the week!

Kancho is now teaching Monday to Friday at the Honbu Dojo (excluding public holidays). Karate classes are Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Kobudo classes are Tuesday and Thursday. See Locations for session times. read more »

2/21/2009 2009 Okinawa traditional Karatedo World Tournament

August 2009 will see Kancho lead a team to the Okinawa Traditional Karatedo World Tornament. This will be held in Naha City Okinawa. Kancho will be officiating as a judge during this tournament. If you would like to participate please contact Kancho. read more »
